Can a person with Graves disease be able to take medicine all their life such as PTU? - graves disease more condition_symptoms

Can a person with the disease may Graves' (a very hyperthyroidism) problem, take medication all their lives, such as October or by treatment with radioactive iodine in the course ends anyway? I am 31 and can not in a position to an endocrinologist who do not go down that route of administration of radioactive iodine, before I can take a drug called October

I have had no children and not really want all the radioactive iodine treament. I'm really not the destruction of my glands just turn thenhave hypothyroidism and a drug called Synthroid fopr the rest of my life. All comments and opinions.

October is safe for the rest of his life to take. Treatment with radioactive iodine (RAI) is realized, unless the drug to normalize the level of the thyroid gland. There are other drugs to the thyroid as mentioned above, methimazole. Synthroid is a thyroid medication. Not feel obliged to have RAI, or even have their thyroid surgically removed. But sometimes it is necessary. And it would be necessary to stay on medication. You are still young, his own boss. Hope this helps and good luck. Here's a site:

There is no reason you can not PTU for the rest of his life, if you are allergic, it is highly unlikely. In this case, you can become methimizole for the rest of his life. No one is allergic to both.

Share your own research on this subject, because your doctor tells you otherwise, and then press the radiation that is.
